Travel To The Course
The R&A, Fife Council, Fife Constabulary, British Transport Police, ScotRail, East Coast, CrossCountry Trains, Stagecoach, The AA and Transport Scotland have been working together to provide a variety of travel options for golf fans. A special Open Championship Travel Website — www.traveltotheopen.com — is already live with details for those travelling to the Championship by car, train, bus, air and bike.
TRAVEL BY ROAD
Fife Constabulary advise motorists travelling to The Open to use the designated routes, all of which will be clearly signed by the AA.
From the north via the Tay Road Bridge
On the A92, continue to the Forgan Roundabout, then turn left onto the A914/A919 to Guardbridge via Leuchars and then join the A91.
From the north via Perth
Exit the M90 at Junction 9. Take the A912 then A913 through Newburgh, turning left onto the A92, and continue to the Forgan Roundabout. Thereafter, turn right onto the A914/A919 to Guardbridge via Leuchars and then join theA91 traffic.
From the west via the Kincardine Bridge
Follow the A977 to Junction 6 of the M90. Continue north on the M90 to Junction 8, then take the A91 to St Andrews.
From the south
Cross the Forth Road Bridge and follow the M90 to Junction 2A, thereafter following the A92 to Glenrothes, A911/A915 through Leven and on towards St Andrews.
Please closely follow colour-coded ‘The Open’ signage. Clear directions to Reserved, Public and Coach parking will be provided at various points along these routes. Drivers failing to follow these routes or who use alternative routes are liable to encounter lengthy delays.
Buses
Throughout the Championship, Stagecoach in Fife will be adding additional buses to timetables in the St Andrews area. Full timetable information can be found online at www.stagecoachbus.com.
Park and Ride
A Park and Ride facility is to be operated on the A91 route near Guardbridge. This will reduce delays for motorists who can park at areduced rate whilst travelling free to and from the course on buses, under police escort. The Park and Ride facility will be clearly signposted.

Parking Charges
Weekly Car Parking labels are available at a cost of £50.00. Weekly labels are only available in advance from The R&A and are subject to availability.
Daily car parking, payable on arrival only, will cost £5.00 from Sunday 11 to Tuesday 13 July and £10.00 from Wednesday 14 to Sunday 18 July.
Discounted car parking will be available in the Park and Ride facility. Operating times will be displayed on Opengolf.com.
Daily coach parking, payable on arrival only, will cost £30.00.
TRAVEL BY RAIL
Golflink provides a convenient way to travel to The Open Championship 2010 as St Andrews from Wednesday 14 until Sunday 18 July inclusive. A Golflink ticket combines rail travel to Leuchars and a bus link to the course for the one inclusive price. Golflink tickets are available from ScotRail stations and will be available to purchase from 1 May 2010. An enhanced rail service will be provided.
